Unfortunately, we do not accept checks, except for orders total is over $1,000. We do offer, "Pay with Amazon", direct "Credit Card", and "PayPal" as payment options in our website. If you do have PayPal account, or willing to open one, you can use your bank account to fund your purchase
- Are all of your sound boxes have the same capacity?
-
Technically, yes. Directly recordable ones can record up to 200 to 220 seconds. USB recordable ones (the ones that you need to use our free software to record) can hold up to 208 seconds @ 16kHz. This is the recommended sampling rate to select for USB recordable voice boxes.
- What are the differences between "record directly" and "USB recordable" sound BOXES?
-
The biggest difference between two options is the way how they are recorded. Directly recordable ones as name suggests can be recorded from any device that has 3.5 mm audio port (this is the most common audio port. Almost all devices have it). Also, you do not need any special software to record into these kind of sound boxes. On the other hand, to record into USB recordable ones, you need to use our FREE software (SOFTWARE ONLY WORKS WITH PC, Windows 7 or Windows XP (will not work with other versions, NOT with MAC either). Both kinds have the same recording capacity which is around 200 seconds. Directly recordable ones will record and play only one file whereas USB recordable boxes will hold and play as many files as you want as long as total duration does not exceed about 200 seconds. So, if you have Windows 7 or XP, planning to record more than 50 units or so, and if all units will be recorded with the same file(s). We would recommend to purchase USB recordable ones. Otherwise, directly recordable ones would be the best option as they are really very easy to record

- Looking for a special product, different than your existing products. Can you help? Can you modify or change functionality / layout for me?
-
We do not offer customized products. We would not offer any modifications, unless your order quantity is more than 1000 units for any given order. In that case we will ask for at least 250 USD as prototyping charge. Prototyping fee and delivery time is based on required modifications. Otherwise, all of our existing products are listed in our website. To learn more about their functionality / how they are recorded and work / their dimensions, etc, please read descriptions in the product page, and also watch related videos again given in that specific product page.
- Is there a way to attach led lights to the sound module?
-
Unfortunately, no.
- How does the sound activate?
-
The sound/voice is programmed into a module, powered by a battery and concealed inside the invitation. Cards are activated upon unfolding. For the box, the sound starts playing once the lid is opened. The folios have a button that will play once the guest pushes it.
- I am using "directly recordable" unit. Sound Volume of re-recordable sound box OR voice chip is too low. What can I do to increase sound volume of the voice module?
-
For "directly recordable" sound boxes or voice chips, sound volume of the unit is totally based on the sound volume of the device you use to record. So, please turn the sound volume of your device all the way up. Try to program the module from any other device. For example if you were trying to program from your cell phone or tablet, try from your PC or MAC, vice versa. Do you have any case in your cell phone or ipad, etc? If yes, please remove them as they usually cause the audio adapter not to plugged in all the way in. Make sure that audio cable is FULLY and FIRMLY attached to your device and also sound module. Again, remove it couple of times and plug back firmly. If you record your own personal recording from your device, try to record some high quality (like a song that was recorded professionally in a studio) from youtube to see sound quality that comes out of our module

-
We did recently switch to those double-sided adapters as we found them more robust and better sound quality than audio cables (since audio cables are long, there are certain amount of air left within the cable. That air can negatively affect sound quality). BUT PLEASE LOOK AT THE INSTRUCTIONS sent with the product. You will see that all steps are explained around that double-sided adapter. Photos and videos will be changed as well in product pages soon to reflect that better
- I am using "USB recordable" unit. Sound Volume of re-recordable sound box OR voice chip is too low. What can I do to increase sound volume of the voice module?
-
The sound volume of USB recordable sound box or voice chip totally depends on the sound volume of the file used to program the module. So it can be adjusted just the way you like. Please watch the video below to see how to adjust the sound volume
- I ordered couple of USB recordable sound boxes but get only 1 USB cable. Can you send me more USB cables?
-
Please see related note in the product page. We say "You will get only one cable regardless of quantity". This is actually all you need. You can record on 1000s of sound boxes just by using ONLY one USB Cable. However, if you need more than 1 USB cable OR one USB cable for each sound box you purchased, please contact us, and we will arrange accordingly. Please keep in mind that there might be an additional cost.
- I ordered couple of USB recordable sound chips, but get only 1 USB Programmer. Can you send me more USB Programmers?
-
Please see related note in the product page. We say "Regardless of order quantity, ONLY one programmer will be provided". This is actually all you need. You can record on 1000s of sound modules just by using ONLY one USB Programmer. However, if you need more than 1 USB Programmer OR one USB Programmer for each sound module you purchased, please contact us, and we will arrange accordingly. Please keep in mind that there might be an additional cost.
- I'm looking at purchasing the Multiple Message Recorder, but I'm wondering if there's any way to have the sounds play back in a random order?
-
Unfortunately, no. Multiple message recorder sound boxes will play the recorded songs / voice messages in the order they were recorded. Sound box will start playing once button is pushed. It will play the next recording when button is pushed again
- I'm getting "USB device open failed. Please select SPI flash size." warning message. What can I do?
-
First of all, please keep in mind that software only works with Windows 7 or Windows XP. If you are using any other versions of Windows or MAC operating system. You will get this warning message. On the other hand, if you are using Windows 7 or XP, and still getting this message, contact USB programmer to the sound module first. Then plug everything into your PCs USB port, and ONLY then launch the software. Couple of other things to try...Please make sure that you tightly attached the USB programmer to the sound chip.Try other USB ports of your computer. If you can, try it on another PC running either Windows 7 or XP.
- How can I edit a music or voice file myself?
-
You can use one of the FREE software like Goldwave to shorten the music file, increase the volume, and do some other modifications as given in the video below
- How do I fix "Connect SPI Error"?
-
Please make sure that you tightly attached the programmer to the module. Try other USB ports of your computer. If you can, try it on another PC. You can also try to rub the connection points on the module with your fingers. This is the area where programmer attaches to the module.
- How do I fix "SPI flash size not enough" issue?
-
Please be aware that the module has certain programmable capacity and it depends on the sampling rate used when programming the module. We highly recommend that 16 kHz is selected when programming, and in that specific sampling rate the length of the file cannot be any longer than 104 seconds. If you select 12 kHz as sampling rate, the file cannot be any longer than 139 seconds. Sampling rates and corresponding acceptable file lengths can be seen at the lower left corner of software's form. Please try your module with this TEST FILE - YODEL (Right Mouse Button, "Save Link as...")
